Quick Easy Cheesey Sauce

Makes 2 Cups

5 minutes preparation 5 minutes cooking time


  • 1/4 cup cashews

  • 3-4 Tablespoons potato flour

  • 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon tumeric powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 teaspoon miso paste

  • Salt to taste


  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and add enough water to bring all liquid up to 2 cups. Process until smooth.

  2. Pour sauce into a pan, heat while stirring and simmer until thickened. Serve over vegetables, pasta, rice, nachos or baked potatoes. Sprinkle with toasted smoked paprika if desired.


NB: Store sauce in a container before being cooked for up to one week.
